Dave Morris knows small business but has a big business background having worked with clients such as NBA, Citibank and Brown Harris Stevens. He is a seasoned CPA and financial professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial analysis across diverse industries, including wine production, retail, real estate, financial institutions and consulting and a proven track record of implementing efficient accounting systems, financial analysis, managing compliance, and driving business growth through consulting and strategic planning. His true business passion was realized when he began overseeing the finances for Lion in the Sun Paperie, the brick and mortar retail shop his wife opened in 2002, joining the business full time as partner and CFO in 2008 and helping grow it to a $5M+ business. He understands first hand the financial needs, time and budget limitations of the “mom and pop shop”, with an appreciation for the importance of big picture systems and efficiencies.
